Farming is central to what we do, and we love what we do! We want to farm sustainably, but what does this mean? For us at Beenleigh Meadows Farm this means considering the following:

1) Environmental protection
2) Social responsibility
3) Economic viability

We cover these criteria by offering responsibly produced food with community support and involvement, and promoting community education and involvement and of course offering our luxury 'glamping' stays in yurts..

We also use renewable energy as far as possible and aim to develop this which also feeds in to the educational work we do.

DEFRA states that
'Farming accounts for about 70% of the land area and water catchment, while at the same time providing much of the food we consume. It is not surprising, therefore, that farming is the major determinant of the rural landscape and ecosystem, and has a significant influence on sustainable consumption and production.'

Beenleigh Meadows Farm demonstrates the viability of a new sustainable agriculture.

The agricultural enterprise is run with sustainable principles and incorporates food growing, education, the arts and applied conservation.

The land is managed using the best ecological practice achievable with the resources available.

We believe that amazing things are achievable through deepening our connections to one another and the Earth, and will actively work in these areas.

It is with this in mind that we do what we do and we hope you can join in with our mission!
